Quogue Library Summer Reading Program Returns

The Quogue Library has announced its 2026 Summer Reading Program, running from June 21 through August 15.

This year's theme, "Ocean of Stories," celebrates the village's coastal heritage with:

• Ocean-themed reading challenges
• Weekly story hours for ages 3–7 every Tuesday at 10am
• A young readers book club for ages 8–12 meeting Thursdays at 2pm
• Author visits featuring three Hamptons-based children's book writers
• Craft workshops including shell art and watercolor painting
• A grand finale beach party on August 15

Children who complete the reading challenge (10 books over the summer) receive a certificate and a gift card to a local bookstore.

"The summer reading program has been a Quogue tradition for over 20 years," said the head librarian. "It keeps kids engaged with reading while celebrating everything that makes our village special."

Registration opens June 1 at the library or online.
