The Village of Quogue Board of Trustees issued a formal proclamation declaring April 22 Earth Day in the village, marking the 56th annual celebration. The Quogue Wildlife Refuge hosted a special Earth Day event from 12pm to 3pm featuring guided birding walks through the 305-acre preserve, face painting and kid-friendly crafts, environmental exhibitors, self-guided kayaking and canoeing on Quantuck Creek, and a native plant sale.

'Our village has always been deeply connected to the natural environment,' said the Mayor. 'From our pristine beaches to the Wildlife Refuge, environmental stewardship is part of Quogue's DNA.'

The Arbor Day proclamation was also issued the same day, reaffirming the village's commitment to preserving its tree canopy and natural landscape.
